Try Small Game Hunting | New Mexico

Want to try hunting small game?

If hunting waterfowl isn’t your thing, maybe hunting small game is! The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is teaming up with New Mexico Outdoor Adventures to host a beginner Small Game Hunting Camp Sept. 26-28 at Quemado Lake, giving families a chance to bond and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Four Corners SCI is not responsible for links that take you to away from our website.

Participants will learn about how to identify different species, as well as hunting techniques, field dressing, shotgun shooting and rules and regulations. The free camp will take place at the El Caso Forest Service campground, so participants will need to bring their own tent or wheeled camper in addition to a sleeping bag and sleeping pad. All meals and gear will be provided.

Registration will open at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, and will remain open until the camp is full. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Click here to register.
