From the Hunters
“Excellent, overall! Always positive and encouraging and keeping safety in mind. I really liked how you guys showed how to hold the rifle from vehicle and the type of kickback it will give.”
– Eric Miller
“Hunting Heals does just that and so much more! It heals my mind, it heals my hurts, it heals my hang-ups, it heals my aches, and pains, but most importantly, it heals my soul!”
-Vicente Vitale

Our Facilitators
“It brings me joy seeing the smile on someone’s face when they harvest an animal for the first time.”
— Cole Davis

Cole Davis
I was born and raised in southwest Colorado. I grew up hunting, fishing and camping. I enjoy sharing my hobbies with my wife and two daughters. I work for Four Rivers Equipment in Durango, a John Deere construction equipment dealer. I have been guiding hunters with disabilities for 6 years. It brings me joy seeing the smile on someone’s face when they harvest an animal for the first time.

I have been lucky enough to spend my entire life in Colorado, hunting, fishing, and hiking the endless mountains. While time spent outdoors is fleeting, it is pure and where I feel most at home. My father, who was a paraplegic, introduced me to hunting and the outdoors. Every fall, as the leaves turned, we could be found chasing deer, elk, and pronghorn. My father has since passed, but he instilled a passion and respect for the outdoors. For the past 3 years, I have had the privilege of sharing that passion with disabled hunters.
I’m blessed to have a family who loves spending time together outdoors. My mom picked up where my father left off. Each fall, we plan a hunting expedition and dedicate time together. My wife has become a phenomenal hunter who grows and challenges herself each year. Some of my best hunting memories have been spent with Brad, a Hunting Heals guide. My daughter patiently awaits her turn to join us on our adventures.
My wife and I are both teachers. I work online, and my wife works for the local school district. We have one beautiful daughter who keeps us busy. When not outdoors, we enjoy playing soccer and hockey, hiking with our dogs, and working on projects around the house.
