Never tried waterfowl hunting before, but want to try? Are you new to hunting waterfowl and just want to learn a few tips and tricks of the trade? Join the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish on Sunday, Aug. 24 for an exciting beginner Waterfowl Hunting Workshop!

The workshop will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Department’s Northwest Area office, located at 7816 Alamo Rd. NW in Albuquerque. Participants will learn various hunting techniques, as well as how to identify waterfowl in the field. Necessary gear, rules and regulations, locations and calls will also be topics of discussion during the free workshop, which is open to adults age 18 and older with little or no previous waterfowl hunting experience.
