Safari Club International (SCI) is a U.S.-based organization of more than 50,000 hunters dedicated to protecting the right to hunt and to promote wildlife conservation worldwide with a dedicated team of government affairs specialists and conservationists based on Capitol Hill in Washington DC working directly with congressmen, state legislators and government affairs to ensure the freedom to hunt. Its new relationship with GoWild is founded in creating content and conversation. Together, the two will create educational content for new and veteran hunters alike, distribute this content within the GoWild network, and provide a forum for SCI members to engage in a social media platform that is not only supportive of hunters—it’s built by hunters.

“It’s important to SCI that we build a sustainable culture for hunting, and to do so, we must focus on mentorship and bringing new hunters to the table,” said SCI Director of Marketing and Communications, Chip Hunnicutt. “GoWild is at the forefront of technology that helps outdoor enthusiasts connect and learn from each other. With the help of our established roots in hunting, we see a partnership that can shepherd in a new generation of conservationists.”

GoWild will also utilize its Trophy feature, which allows hunters to uniquely capture and store data and images from hunts, to introduce digital highlights of SCI’s Record Book. SCI will also have its own Trail (forum) in GoWild, which will provide the opportunity for SCI’s members to not only connect digitally, but to find members near them.

“While our product was built by life-long outdoor enthusiasts and hunters, we realize our product is still emerging to the hunting industry,” said GoWild Chief Strategy Officer, John Hunter. “Securing a partnership with a storied organization like Safari Club International is a rewarding stamp of approval for the hard work our team has put into building the best communication platform for those who love the outdoors.”

The SCI Sweepstakes
In Spring of 2020, the duo will announce a sweepstakes opportunity for both GoWild and SCI members. The sweepstakes will be announced via GoWild’s app and privately to SCI’s members.
