Safari Club International launches a new member benefit called Inside-Hunting with the June Issue of Safari Times, the monthly members-only newspaper that is available both in printed form delivered to members’ homes and online in the SCI website www.safariclub.org.
Inside-Hunting helps SCI members be insiders in a number of ways. First, the coverage of all news in the hunting world is expanded. Also, there are expanded hunting reports from members who share their experiences while hunting around the world.
Key in this new member benefit is Barbara Crown, who oversees the SCI Hunter Hotline – another new member benefit that provides members with information on hunting destinations and opportunities around the world, plus news developments and resources.
Barbara has served the hunting community and sustainable use conservation for 20 years as an outdoor journalist, critic and advisor.
As editor of The Hunting Report Newsletter until recently, Barbara covered a host of issues affecting sportsmen who travel, including traveling with firearms, trophy importation, travel warnings and security, hunt closures and re-openings, permitting and quota issues, problematic airlines and more.
She also oversaw the The Hunting Report’s hunting trip report program, reviewing dozens of reports a month, to find, research and write insightful hunter critiques on opportunities around the globe and help hunters find hunts that are right for them. She has advised hunters of their options and how to navigate problems and complications for two decades.
A passionate hunter for 30 years, Barbara has been a member of SCI for almost as long. She was among the founding members of SCI Miami and continues to serve on the board of directors there today.
With the introduction of Inside-Hunting, Barbara brings many of the most valuable features of The Hunting Report to Safari Times.
